Leh and Ladakh Tour Package

Duration: 14 Nights / 15 Days
Places Covered: Delhi - Amritsar - Dharamshala - Manali - Rohtang - Jispa - Sarchu - Leh- Shey - Thiksey - Likir - Alchi - Leh – Delhi

Day 1 : Delhi

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, our representative offers you the welcome in the typical Indian style and relocates you to your pre-booked Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

After Breakfast, full day city tour of Old and New Delhi the citadel of power and culture for centuries. Escorted guide will explain you all the major shrines and monuments like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, enjoy cycle rickshaw tour of old Delhi. After lunch, visit the Birla Temple and move through India Gate to the Qutub Minar. It is a 240 foot tower built in 1190 to commemorate the arrival of Islam in India. Also marvel at the beauty of the Bahai Temple with its nine pools on an elevated platform.

Day 3 : Delhi - Amritsar

Have your breakfast and move to the New Delhi railway Station to board a train for Amritsar, the city of Golden Temple. Check into hotel and have your lunch. Then get set for sightseeing. Visit the famous Golden temple which is scared to the Sikh nation. We continue our city tour and visit the Jallian walla Bagh, the Martyrs' Memorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here about 1500 and 2000 persons who were associated in a peaceful manner for meeting during the Indian freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919 and the city of Amritsar.

Day 4 : Amritsar - Dharamshala

After morning breakfast drive to Dharmshala, a hill station full of natural charisma and beauty. Check into hotel and evening is free for walking around the Kangra Valley.

Day 5 : Dharamshala

After breakfast morning drive to Macleodganj and visit the Dalai Lama’s Monastery, Tibetian children village and handicraft centre, Bhagsunag and water fall and the war memorial. Evening is spent relaxing.

Day 6: Dharamshala - Manali

After breakfast drive to Manali enroute Kulu. Manali is a major hill station in the Kullu Valley. Hindu mythology says “Manali” has its name originated from Manu and Alaya,. It means the abode of Manu. Manali, the wonderland of  enticing natural beauty is synonymous with soft tune of streams and cacophony of birds, lush green forest and posh orchards and the sumptuousness of the snowcapped skyscraping Himalayas.

Day 7 : Manali

After breakfast, there is city tour of Manali, encompassing the Hadimba Devi temple, Naggar Castle to have the view of the valley, Beas River and the local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Manali - Jispa

Get on the drive to Jispa after breakfast, stop at Rohtang Pass, Gompa monastery of Khardong on the way to Jipsa.

Day 9: Jispa - Sarchu

Right after your breakfast you will have to depart for Sarchu, it is a drive to the high barren mountains of the Ladakh Valley. On the way you will be crossing over the Baralacha la (4900 Mts.). It is at this point the roads from Lahaul, Zanskar,  Spiti and Leh meets. Then reach Sarchu (4200 Mts.) camp.

Day 10: Leh

You will need to take your breakfast and then start a full day drive to Leh. Leh is a part of Tibet both geographically and culturally.

Day 11: Leh

The morning in Leh will be free for you when you will get to be familiar with the height and weather of the place. There will be a sightseeing tour to Shankar Gompa, Shantistupa and Leh Palace in the aftrenoon.

Day 12: Leh - Shey - Thiksey

Get the full day passed in sightseeing of Shey, which was once the summer palace of the Kings of Ladakh and was built about 560 year ago. There is a 12 meter high seated Buddha image. Then the journey continues to Thiksey, the monastery is very picturesque and superbly sited on a hilltop overlooking the village. The next destination will be Hemis. It is one of the largest and the most important Gompas in Ladakh. There you will find excellent library, wall paintings and Buddha figures.

Day 13: Thiksey - Likir -Alchi

There will be a full day outing to visit the monastery of Likir and Alchi after the breakfast. Attractive things in this tour are the gigantic painted clay statues of Buddha, carved arches and old paintings.

Day 14: Alchi - Leh - Delhi

Move to the airport for flight to Delhi. However, there can be cancellation of flights too as it purely depends on the weather conditions in Leh. In that case, attempt will be made to catch the flight of the next day. There is no guarantee of the flight.

Day 15: Delhi

For rest of the day, spend time in leisure according to your wish and have the last minute shopping. Now, it’s time to say bye. Move to airport for flight for Onwards journey.
